Learn the art of naturalistic flower arranging in this intensive course. This course is eight days in total and has been designed to cover an extensive range of practical and theory sessions. If your schedule only allows for attending the first or second week we are happy to accommodate this and have a limited number of spaces available for attending each week separately.

ESSENTIAL TECHNIQUES Tuesday 15 - Friday 18 September

  • Conditioning garden flowers

  • Pedestal with pinholder (kenzan)

  • Bouquet (hand vase technique)

  • Setting in photography

  • Staircase installation (chicken wire)

  • Hana kubari (natural materials)

  • Creative free-style session

ADVANCED DESIGN Tuesday 22 - Friday 25 September

  • Seika bowl with chicken wire (shape theory)

  • Bouquet (form theory)

  • Tablescape design (colour theory)

  • Dutch Masters style arrangement (tone theory)

  • Lighting in photography

  • Massed arrangement (space theory)

  • Landscape arrangement (line theory)

  • Arch installation (texture theory)

Teas/coffees are provided each day, as are the use of snips, aprons, flowers and mechanics. We stock a small range of our own brand ceramics and Japanese tools at the studio.

  • 10am to 3.30pm with a short break for lunch

  • Pay in full or reserve your place with a £500 deposit

  • Remaining balance is due 8 weeks before workshop
