Autumn in England is perhaps the most beautiful season of all as misty mornings merge into warm, mellow afternoons of shifting colours and the scent of drifting bonfire smoke and windfalls. The garden is still producing a prolific quantity of flowers, and the foliage is starting to turn shades of lime, blush and russet. Our arrangements and bouquets at this stage of the year are often highly textural, with berries, metallic grasses and seedpods alongside dinner-plate sized dahlias, jewel tones and gleaming fruit.
